Moab

Nic and Heather planned a Moab trip for the Egbert family and, surprisingly, got us ALL to come on the same weekend. It was a rough, rainy drive so when things cleared up, we stopped at a park to stretch. It was a nice surprise that it just happened to have the most amazing swing set I have ever seen!
The first evening we got there, we took a small hike with Julianne and Garrett to Landscape Arch.
The next day, despite the drizzling rain, we loaded up in a bunch of Wildcats and followed Nic all over the red rocks of Moab.

For how crazy the driving was at times, the kids were champs and most of them were rocked to sleep...or the gas fumes knocked them out.
After a long day on the wildcats, we finally hopped in the car to go home...and McCrae puked EVERYWHERE! It was awful. Julianne and Garrett quickly got a new room and we stayed bunked up for the night. The next morning we attempted to go to church but it was Stake Conference, so we headed to Delicate Arch. We didn't have a pack to carry McCrae but Conner said he would be fine to carry him. Too bad McCrae only wanted ME to carry him. It was a long hike with him on my shoulders, but we made it. And it was awesome. We took a family pic under the arch then headed home. It was a quick trip but we were glad we went. We were so sad to hear, however, that Paityn was sick the WHOLE was home to St. George. Poor Paity Poo.
