Spring Cleaning

Spring is here and has brought with it a Spring Cleaning mood! This past weekend, Conner and I overhauled the front and back yards, cleaned the house and the garage, and got the garden ready for planting. Whew! We were tired. But we're excited to get the garden started! We can't wait for Summer.

Basketball Banquet

Its official...Conner has retired. He had his basketball banquet last week and it was really nice. These are all the graduating seniors: Weston Anderson, Jeramie Hopson, (Coach Connor), Conner and Blair Prowse.
All of the seniors got to give a little speech after dinner. Conner was sure to give his wife a big thank-you which I was very grateful for... And I would be lying if I said he didn't get emotional. He has loved playing for Coach Connor these past three years. He especially liked this last year as he made some great friends in these guys below.
I call them his BOYZZZ. Chris Cassity, Conner, Tanner Gregory and Ben Walker

Can chickens have twins?

I cracked this ONE egg open and....SURPRISE, its twins!

Skiing

Since Conner has officially retired from basketball, we decided to hit up the slopes. It had been more than 10 years since he had gone skiing so we decided the "Free After Three" at Alta would be the best place to start. Alta ski resort lets anyone ski free after three on their Sunnyside lift. It was a great run for Conner to get back in the swing of things.
Conner showing me how its done... Conner's brother gave us free tickets to Deer Valley so we took advantage of a beautiful sunny day and tried a new resort. It was so much fun. Conner has gotten so much better in such a short amount of time. I took him on runs that made him nervous, but after a few runs, he conquered them. After skiing 'til we could ski no more, we went to lunch at a little Bistro in Park City and then hit up the outlet stores. What a fun day, but we were exhausted!
Guess we should have worn sunscreen!

Easter

The Easter Bunny came and left me a poop trail to my Easter present!
A beautiful new ski top. I love it. Conner got a swimsuit for our upcoming trip to Hawaii in June. We can't wait!
We loved having Easter on Conference Sunday. What a special day. We went to my parents house for breakfast and the first session. Then we went with full bellies to lunch at Craig and Jerrie's to watch the second session. As I have gotten older, I realize that I have learned to appreciate General Conference more and more. And it is not because I can hang out in pajamas all day (although that is a plus)...We both look forward to hearing from the prophet and apostles and are eager to hear what their council will be. My favorite talk this year actually came from the Young Women's Conference which I was able to attend with the young women in my ward. Elder Uchtdorf spoke about living "happily ever after" just like the princesses we grew up idolizing. Although they do live happily ever after, they have to face trials just like we do. If we want our "happily ever after," we have to persevere through trials and tribulations leaning on the Lord for support. He also talked about how he met and courted his wife. I cried through the whole story. It was so romantic. You can read the whole story here. It was a great Easter and an excellent Conference weekend.

Michael Buble

My Mom gave us tickets to Michael Buble for Valentine's Day. What a wonderful surprise! We went with my parents and sisters and had a great time. The concert was awesome...we were able to get really close when he came out on the portable stage.
I swear he looked right at me as he finished a line to "Home." We definitely had a moment.
Thanks Mom...we love Michael and we loved the concert!

Conference Champions

This year the Westminster Griffins became back-to-back Conference Champions! It has been so fun watching Conner these past three years at Westminster. He has made great friends, received a great education, and learned so much about not only the game, but about himself as well.
The graduating Seniors this year...
I turned into a "soccer mom" when we got a camcorder for Christmas. I think I taped every game. Thank you to all of those who came and supported Conner... You will never know how much it meant to both of us.
The Griffins were able to go to the National Tournament in Kansas City where they made it to the sweet sixteen. It was a fantastic year!

Valentine's Day

What an incredible husband...presenting me with flowers on bended knee. How romantic. We had a great Valentine's Day. First we went to see the movie, "Valentine's Day." After, we went down town to celebrate and had dinner at the Garden. It was delicious. I am so thankful for a loving husband who makes every day feel like Valentine's Day!
