Another Girls Camp has come and gone...and it was fabulous. This year we camped in Oakley due to the fact that our Stake camp up in the Uintahs was covered in snow. It was nice to be a little closer to home. Our camp theme was "Be your own kind of beautiful." Each ward chose a woman from the scriptures to represent and we chose Eve...the mother of all living. This is our camp flag and our woman (Mandi) telling the Stake a little bit about Eve.
During our downtime, we gave everyone hair wraps. We even got our camp daddy, Fred, our "Papa Bear " to participate. He wore it all week and the Sunday after we got home, he pinned it to his lapel and wore it to church. He was the best camp daddy ever! Our poster to welcome back our only 4th year hiker.
Papa Bear teaching us all of his ukelele songs.
Faith Factor-first one to make a origami mouse...
First one to down a bottle of baby food...
First one to find the red gummy worm in the bowl of dirt (oreo)...I love this picture! She looks like she has a beard.
The sweatshirt I designed for the girls. It represents the tree of life-notice the apple (forbidden fruit). We went on a silent nature walk with spiritual stops along the way. It was incredible.
After testimony meeting, which is always the best night of the week, Amber's husband came to jam out. We were up singing til after one o' clock in the morning. Singing, treats, and hearing the girls bear their testimonies-it was probably my favorite day at girls camp-EVER.
Amber (on the far left) was our camp director. She had the camp in tip-top shape all week. She was fabulous. I had so much fun with these ladies. Our tent was the last to fall asleep every night because we were all up chatting and laughing together.
Its weeks like these that make all of the time put into Young Womens all worth it.
