My dad took us on the annual Idaho fishing trip a couple weeks ago. We had tons of fun road-tripping to the tunes of Olivia Newton John, Marie Osmond, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and James Taylor. We ate beef jerkey, bean dip, and drank Mountain Dew. We slept at The Ameritel Inn and made waffles at the continental breakfast counter before hitting the river. Cam insisted he take his girls to fish in the hole that I had been dreaming about fishing the whole way up. So my dad, Conner and I headed to the far fork of the river "where the big fish are" my dad kept telling me. "Are you just telling me this because Cam stole my fishing hole?" I asked. He humbly replied, "yes" but somehow it still made me smile. We were, in fact, successful as shown below-the fish were HUGE! We care more about quantity than quality anyway...

Happy Birthday Beav!
Rascal Flatts
Thanks to our dear friend, Lacy Jenkins, the 105 girls all had tickets to Rascal Flatts this year. Unfortunately, Lindsey is living in California and couldn't make it and Lyndsey and Lacy had to back out last minute so we snagged Mallory and Kylee to come with us. We missed the 105 girls terribly but the concert was still fabulous. Sara Evans opened for Rascal Flatts and she may have been my favorite part of the night.
Even though Gary, the lead singer, had gained about 30 pounds since we last saw him and was wearing a hideous bedazzled shirt to cover up the extra pounds, he sounded better than ever. I guess the shirt gave us something to laugh about for a while...Actually, I'm still laughing.

Labor Day Weekend
Conner and I headed to Park City for Labor Day weekend. My parents had access to a beautiful condo so we took advantage of the opportunity and headed up the canyon. First, we went on a shopping spree! I couldn't believe it. We found so many good deals at the outlet stores, we couldn't stop ourselves. We got all three shoes for the price of one. It was "Buy 1, Get 2 Free." What a deal!
We attempted to go flyfishing in the Provo River, but the river was too high and fast-moving for our little dry flies so we went back to the condo to swim instead. Sunday night, my family came up and joined us for the rest of the weekend. Monday aftenoon we went to lunch with Conner's parents at Cisero's. It was delicious.

It was a great weekend! Its so nice to have a quick getaway so close. It was just what we needed.

Julianne's Wedding
Julianne and Garrett got married! After a 4-year long-distance relationship, they finally tied the knot. The wedding events started with a wonderful backyard wedding shower. The food was fabulous!
Next came bridals...she had a lot of help prepping for the photo shoot.
And she looked incredible.
The wedding dinner was the night before the reception. We went to Christopher's steakhouse.
Marissa and I wrote Julianne and Garrett a little poem. My dad may have thought some stanzas were slightly inappropriate, but everyone else thought we were hilarious.
Julianne and Garrett- CONGRATULATIONS!
This wedding calls for a celebration.
Married life will be tons of fun,
St. George, baseball, 100 degree sun.
As you begin your journey, we wish you the best,
Living together will be the true test.
Over the years, you’ve spent much time apart,
Your new life together is about to start.
Julianne has some quirks that you may not know,
As her sisters, we’ll give you the down low…
These toenail clippers will help tame her long toes-
Can’t fit in her shoes and they’re always ingrown.
Wisps for clean teeth, she’s a hygienist you know,
When she has bad breath, it’s a quick fix on the go.
She enjoys leftovers in her lunch,
This Tupperware will be used a bunch.
Neosporin and band-aids we know help heal,
Those zits on her face that she picks with zeal.
Cookies-n-cream is her favorite treat,
A spray fan for the games and a baseball drink.
Bees wax for her lips and wrapper free gum,
So you wont find the trash in the car under your bum.
Storing her phone in her bra, she looks pretty white trash,
But with this bedazzled phone holder, paparazzi’s will flash!
For this gift card organizer she’s gonna be thrilled,
After presents are opened, it’s sure to be filled.
She’s been drinking muscle milk to stay fit and strong,
The results will show in her honeymoon thong!
Garrett it’s time we turn our attention to you,
A few more items before the night is through.
When cleaning the house you must do your part,
Using Lysol wipes will warm your wife’s heart.
If you’re in the mood for something sweet,
We hear Butterfinger is your favorite treat.
When you finish the milk put your pen to this pad,
Helping with groceries keeps Julianne from getting mad.
If you awake to fierce grizzly bear,
Don’t be alarmed, it’s just her leg hair.
Grass stains on uniforms can be quite a damper,
Use this Tide pen then toss in the hamper.
When emotions run wild, go grab the tissues,
You will soon learn that girls have issues.
If in the morning she’s feeling quite queasy,
Just toss her this stick, it’s really that easy!
Tomorrow’s the day you’ve been dreaming of,
Don’t even think about bringing your glove.
August 26th two thousand eleven,
A day to spend in 7th heaven.
We know you both will do great things,
Enjoy the blessings temple marriage brings.
The temple was incredible. Julianne was extremely emotional and it didn't take long for the emotions to rub off on the rest of us. It was so neat to have my parents and all of my siblings and spouses there together. The sealer conducted a beautiful ceremony and Julianne and Garrett were sealed for eternity. The spirit was so strong. I was really wishing I could relive my wedding day!
Oh Grandpa...
Pictures before the reception can get a little tricky when your family has grown three times the size it once was.
This is a picture of everyone trying to get the kids to smile...
No one else seems to be paying attention, but it looks like I had practiced my pose for weeks.
The boys showing off their Argyle socks.
A famous artist, Boris, came to draw pictures of the guests. He was amazing, and as you can see, it ended up being a beautiful evening despite threatening storm clouds.Lynn Newman, our sealer, came to the reception so we snapped a quick picture with him and his wife.
Harper thought the strawberry patch was more exciting than the reception.
The girls practiced the Hannah Montana hoedown and performed for all of the guests. They did a fabulous job!
Awaiting the bouquet toss...
Natalie Bell is the next lucky woman!
Sending the bride and groom off in style.
Congratulations Julianne and Garrett!
