We spent some extra time with Doug and his family between Christmas and New Years. Jami had a paper-cut size wound on her finger that ended up getting terribly infected and she had to spend almost a week in the hospital.
It was AWFUL!
New Year's Eve we went bowling with my family, then Conner and I decided last minute to get tickets to Les Mis. We had been wanting to see it since Christmas, but since I had to work, we were unable to go. It was incredible! I bawled through the whole thing. We got home just in time to watch the ball drop, get a New Year's kiss, then we headed to bed.
New Year's morning my mom made a fabulous breakfast- crepes and all the fixins. It was incredible. After breakfast, Papa hooked inner tubes behind the horses and pulled the grandkids around in the snow. They loved it. It was a fun way to ring in the New Year!
