Happy 2nd birthday to McCrae! I can't believe how fast the second year has gone. I think we spent the first year just trying to figure out our new life as parents. But the second year has gone much smoother and McCrae has brought so much joy into our lives. Here are a few pictures of the last few months...
McCrae's first U of U basketball game. He loved every second!
Swim lessons. This turned out to be somewhat traumatic, but he DID eventually learn to float on his back. Not that he would do that for me now...Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. He LOVES animals and knows the names and sounds of so many I can't even count.
Welcoming Daddy home from Chicago.
A spring trip to IFA.
He wants to help with EVERYTHING! And always prefers to do it on his own if possible.
And here you have it!
Planting potatoes with Papa.
Such a helper. He LOVES sweeping. He'll put a handful of dirt on the cement and say, "Oh no! Big mess! Sweep. Broom." Then he'll sweep it back into the dirt and do the same thing over again.
If he could be naked ALL of the time, he would be a happy boy.
We found a "wog" in our yard and we held onto it for a night. We fed it crickets and we all loved him just as much as McCrae. We were sad to see that he hopped away so soon!
Helping Daddy mow the lawn.
A Superman cape and a "Jesus show" allow us to get a successful haircut.
He could not wait to get a big boy seat and FINALLY face forward in the car. Here he is, wearing his favorite outfit...he wants to wear "Go Utes" every day.
Paityn and Julianne joined us at the Ogden Treehouse Museum to watch Grammy GG perform. We all had a blast. Grammy is one-of-a-kind.
Hogle Zoo.
Celebrating the August birthdays at Grandma and Grandpa's.
The Big Day.
Tangled is currently McCrae's favorite show. He LOVED his Maximus cake. He kept asking to open the fridge to look at it before the party. We had a fun swim party with family at my parents' house. Grammy and Papa were even able to Skype in for a minute!
Dr. Jackson says that if he stays in the 20% for height, he will grow to be 5'8". However, the fact that he knows his colors??? That's a 3 year old level!
