Thanksgiving

Conner's parents flew to Philadelphia to have Thanksgiving back East this year. We had a pre-Thanksgiving dinner with them the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Conner and McCrae dressed up for the event.
Thanksgiving Day also happened to be Conner's birthday! He was kind enough to stay home with McCrae and my Mom while the rest of us hit the slopes.
We came back to this beautiful table display,
a Thanksgiving model,
and a scrumptious turkey dinner. My mom has everything down to perfection.
Since the weather was pretty mild for a Thanksgiving day, we went on a walk after dinner. We tried to get a nice, family, Thanksgiving picture,
but McCrae couldn't focus with all of the Christmas lights around.
 We went back for pie,
 and a birthday song!
Although we were small in numbers this year (since it was everyone's "off" year) it was a fantastic Thanksgiving. I wish we could have Thanksgiving bi-annually...there isn't enough days in the year that we get to stop and think about how truly blessed we are. Conner and I are so incredibly grateful for the life that Heavenly Father has blessed us with. We are slowly, but surely, learning how to be parents and are humbled by the challenge. We are grateful for our families and how they enrich our lives. And we are most grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ, His atoning sacrifice, and His plan to return to Him with our families again someday. Happy Thanksgiving!
