4th of July

The 4th of July is my FAVORITE holiday and we had a wonderful weekend. We started the festivities by going to the Stadium of Fire. Thanks to my dad, we had fabulous seats. They started the night off with red, white and blue sky divers-it was awesome. Then jets flew overhead, and David Archuleta sang, "God Bless America."
He continued with a few of his more popular hits. He has an amazing voice and was fun to see!
Brad Paisley followed and he was AMAZING!
He busted out a guitar solo nearly every song...

And the grand finale!
I always get emotional on the 4th of July. I feel so blessed to live in this country and often take for granted the blessings that come with it. Its nice to have a reminder of how lucky we really are.
The next morning we headed up to Bear Lake to meet up with the Nielsens for the rest of the weekend. Doug and Jami were nice enough to bring their boat to share and we all camped out in the KOA (or little Mexico we liked to call it).

Sophie and Ava were showing us all how its done.

Conner and C-Money taking a break in the bow of the boat.
We were in charge of the dutch oven dessert that night- Apple spice cake and it was delicious!
Happy 4th of July!
