Even when it was negative five degrees up the canyon!
Marissa's hair almost turned into an icicle.
Thank goodness we bundled up...it was tons of fun despite the temperature.
After skiing we headed back down the canyon. Luckily our car didn't slide off the road like this one did! When my body officially thawed, Conner and I got ourselves ready for the feast and headed over to his parents' house. It was a lovely meal: turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, yams, green beans, jello-pretzel salad, and pumpkin, apple, and key-lime pies! It was all so delicious. Later on in the evening, we all went to the new Disney hit movie...Tangled. We loved every minute of it!
There really is so much to be grateful for. It is so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays. I am so glad there is at least one day out of this busy holiday season that is set aside to reflect on how blessed we truly are. I am so grateful for my family. I love my brothers, sisters, parents, and in-laws. I am so glad that I married Conner; we are so happy. Although our busy lives can seem stressful, I always find joy in coming home to Conner every night. I am grateful for a healthy body that allows me to do so many things. Conner and I are so blessed to have jobs...especially ones we enjoy. We love serving in the church. Our callings seem to take more time than we would sometimes wish, but I know that we are so blessed for our time and service. I am thankful for those who serve me...even if its just a phone call from a good friend. My friends are one-in-a-million. I am thankful to live in a place that is saturated with wholesome things. Being so close to so many temples is incredible. I love the gospel and I love the prophet, Thomas S. Monson. I only hope to be able to bless other peoples' lives the way that so many have blessed mine. Happy Thanksgiving!
