Conner and I went to the Jordan River Temple yesterday...but it was closed. Since we were out and in need of some spiritual enlightenment, we decided drive out and see the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was beautiful! We were lucky enough to be able to take a tour, even though we didn't have a ticket. It's style was a lot like that of the Draper Temple...so simple and yet so magnificent. When standing at the front of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple, you can see both the Jordan River and the Draper temples. It is quite the sight. I love the spirit we felt and am so excited to have yet another temple in the Salt Lake Valley. Interesting story...Angel Moroni atop the temple was hit by lightning during the last rainstorm. I like to think its just because he's so close to Heaven!

That is nuts! crazy. I would love to go through it, I've heard its amazing. I've only ever been in logan, ogden and slc temples. might have to take a trip down there and then drive through daybreak. I've heard its AWESOME!
